Loco Depot Sand Wagon

PROTOTYPE. Built to carry dry sand for use in loco sand boxes one of these wagons would be parked up at small branch line loco sheds and used as a sand store until empty and then returned to the main depot for replenishing. An example of these wagons still in LNER blue livery was used at Ipswich into the 1960,s.

KIT. Construction is quite involved and produces a very detailed model as I have envisaged the wagon providing a set piece model for your locomotive shed to complement your pride and joy locomotives as they are admired by your friends.
